To develop the response of #3, remember that both of these tales are supposedly set in very different times and contexts and we see this in the way that concepts such as leadership, heroicness and bravery are developed. Although Hrothgar and King Arthur perhaps can be compared to some extent, overall they are and were very different characters and the purpose of both works was likewise different.
