Interestingly vague this question is. Perhaps the pollutants (what type?) have been absorbed by clays in the surrounding soils and in the lake bottom, and the pollutants are “sequestered.”Or……..perhaps, zebra mussels have been “accidentally” introduced and through their filter feeding activity have made the water much more clear thus appearing less polluted.
