The acronym “MO” stands for “modus operandi.”  It is a Latin phrase that means something like “way of operating.”  It is used, in talking about crimes, to mean certain ways that a given criminal does whatever it is that he or she does.In the context of the answer that Brettd gave you, the modus operandi pretty much encompasses all those other things he mentioned.  It would include such things as the method of attack, when the attacks usually happen, etc.So, I don’t think you should be trying to understand MO separate from those other things, they all make up the MO.
